Unpaid Internship Opportunity: First Team Social Media Intern

Join our First Team as a Social Media Intern and help bring the excitement of the club to life online! This hands-on internship is perfect for a creative, motivated individual looking to build a portfolio while gaining experience in sports marketing, content creation, and digital storytelling.

 

What You'll Do

  •  Capture photos and videos at First Team practices, games, and club events.
  •  Create engaging content for Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, and more.
  •  Help manage the social media content calendar and keep our channels active.
  •  Engage with fans by monitoring comments, messages, and social trends.
  •  Track content performance and help develop strategies to grow our audience.
  •  Collaborate with the Marketing and First Team staff on campaigns, promotions, and community initiatives.

We're Looking For Someone Who:

  •  Has a genuine passion for soccer and social media.
  •  Is creative, organized, and eager to learn.
  •  Has strong writing and communication skills.
  •  Has experience (or interest) in Canva, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar creative tools.
  •  Understands social media trends and analytics.
  •  Works well independently and as part of a team while meeting deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current student or recent graduate in Marketing, Communications, Sports Management, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Experience with photography, graphic design, or video editing is a plus.

Requirements

  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
  • Personal camera and laptop for content creation and editing.
  • Available to attend at least 2 evening practices per week and 1–2 weekend games throughout the season.
  • Able to work evenings, weekends, and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
