Kindergarten Kickstart Site Lead
Compensation: $55-75/hr depending on experience
The Kindergarten Kickstart Site Lead will work under the direction of the Recreation Program Director and the Recreation Program Coordinator to ensure that every session is so enjoyable and enriching that players want to return for the next session. As the entry point to MSI for many families, the Kindergarten Kickstart program aims to leave a powerful first impression on the players and the parents. The Site Lead will be the on-site manager responsible for cultivating a positive soccer experience for our youngest age group at MSI. The site lead will be in charge on the field for all logistics, parent and player interaction as well as the coaches delivering the program to players.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure the physical and emotional safety of players.
- Monitor, coach and mentor field and assistant coaches and the implementation of the Kindergarten curriculum.
- Ensure all equipment is properly set-up for each session.
- Monitor session time ensuring smooth transitions from one activity to the next and that each session begins and ends on time.
- Interact with parents to help orient them to the program by answering questions and creating a welcoming environment.
- Provide detailed reports to the Director and Coordinator about each session.

Qualifications:
- Experience working with young children (e.g. camp counselor, pre-school teacher assistant, aftercare counselor, youth soccer coach).
- Experience leading a group of people and/or indirect supervision.
- Background in soccer or other sport(s).
- Working towards an associate's or bachelor's degree or at least 3 years of work experience post-high school.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to lift 20 pounds or more.
- Ability to work in varying climates including heat, rain, and cold.
- Reliable transportation.
