Kindergarten Coach
Compensation: $20-$50/hr depending on assigned role and level of coaching education
Coaches in the Kindergarten Kickstart Program are responsible for cultivating a positive soccer experience for our youngest age group at MSI. As the entry point to MSI for many families, the Kindergarten Kickstart program aims to leave a powerful first impression on the players and the parents.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Implement the MSI curriculum created for the kindergarten age level.
- Lead activities, explain the rules and act as game facilitator.
- Maintain a physically and emotionally safe learning environment for groups of 8-12 players.
- Collaborate with other coaches and the Site Lead to ensure smooth operations, including equipment set up, take down, and managing sessions.
Essential Skills and Qualities:
- Positive, high-energy individuals who enjoy working with young kids.
- Be a professional - punctual, organized, and reliable.
- Soccer knowledge is preferred, but not required.
- Able to communicate clearly and effectively with young children, parents and co-workers.
- Growth-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work weekends and weekday evenings.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to lift 20 pounds.
- Ability to work in varying climates including heat, rain, and cold.
- Reliable transportation.
