MSI Kickoff Classic - Register Now!

The next Kickoff Classic will be held Labor Day Weekend 2022, providing MSI Classic teams with a terrific opportunity to tune up for the fall season. All games will be played on superior quality fields, with all or nearly all games being played on MSI's lighted/synthetic turf fields at Julius West MS, Einstein HS, and Whitman HS (depending on enrollment, some additional games may be played on other local bermuda turf and synthetic turf fields, as well).Primary play dates will be Saturday and Sunday, September 3 and 4, with smaller numbers of games on Friday night, September 2, or Monday morning, September 5. Monday may also serve as a weather-related backup date (though, with our synthetic turf fields, that risk is significantly lessened!). Log into your account on the top right-hand side of the MSI webpage, www.msisoccer.org, click on the “Programs Available” button next to your name and click through (if you have several children in the system you may have to skip through them before getting to the team registration questions), until you complete the team registration by clicking “Submit Order.” If you have any questions about MSI's Kickoff Classic, please email [email protected]

Schedules will be posted here approximately one week before the event begins.
Important Dates and Information (2022)
Tuesday, August 1 - on-line registration will be available (participation is limited to MSI teams, only)
*Thursday, August 11 - registration deadline (after that date, teams will be accepted on a "space available" basis, only)
Friday, August 26 (on or about) - Kickoff Classic schedules posted
U10-U12 and U15-U19: $295 per team (if paying with check, "on time"; pay by check option will not be available past the registration deadline)
U13-U14: $375 per team (if paying with check, "on time"; pay by check option will not be available past the registration deadline)
Credit Card payments will include an addition 3% transaction fee
Festival Format: All teams will play 3 games "festival style" (i.e., no standings are kept), all with 25-minute halves. Intended dimensions of play at this time (adjustments may be necessary in the event that two age groups need to be combined):
U15 and above: 7v7
Teams must be prepared to play games at any or all of the different venues, and games may be scheduled with kickoffs as early as 8:00 AM or as late as 8:45 PM. The vast majority of games will be played on Saturday and Sunday, with a small number of teams being scheduled for a Friday night game or a Monday morning game).
Refund Policy: if the Festival must be canceled in its entirety, full refunds will be provided. If any portion of the Festival is able to be played, no refunds will be provided (recognizing that there are many fixed costs associated with the event, and the registration fee already is at a substantially subsidized level). With all or nearly all games scheduled on MSI's synthetic turf fields, the chances of playing are maximized, of course!
